DVB Viewer for Windows

Disapponted. This software was a disappointment. I could not receive the majority of the channels. There are far too many error reports when you do try to watch a channel. Although I am not expecting Cable or Satellite quality I was looking for something better than this. Pros: Nothing Cons: everything

Dvbviewer the BEST dvr and htpc Tool available. I use the software since a couple of years and there is no competitive alternative available for Windows. The epg data is automatically retrieved in Background, my recordings are saved via a Service in background and the OSD is completely skinable. Since there is a Demo everybody can test without buy a pig in a poke. My two Homerun devices work fine and since i'm deaf it is cool to have closed captions :) Pros: Runs Fine with all DVB/ATSC/ISDB AdaptersService which run in background and saves my records (ink. Smart recording)Placeshifting even on my IPAD.Skinable OSD with Plugins Cons: No fancy animations in the OSDSome Plugins should be integrated in the main app (video on demand and myseries)
